"The
Econometric Society is an international society for the
advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistic
and mathematics. The Society shall operate as a completely
disinterested, scientific organization, without political,
social, financial or nationalistic bias. Its main object
shall be to promote studies that aim at the unification
of the theoretical-quantitative and the empirical-quantitative
approach to economic problems and that are penetrated
by constructive and rigorous thinking similar to that
which has come to dominate in the natural sciences.
Any activity which promises ultimately to further such
unification of theoretical and factual studies in economics
shall be within the sphere of interest of the Society".

Società Econometrica è un'associazione internazionale
che si propone di favorire il progresso della teoria economica
nei sui collegamenti con la statistica e la matematica.
Il suo scopo primario è quello di promuovere quegli
studi che mirino ad unificare l'approccio teorico-quantitativo
con quello empirico-quantitativo nell'analisi dei fenomeni
economici, studi che siano ispirati da un pensiero costruttivo
e rigoroso simile a quello che è proprio delle scienze
naturali.
L'unificazione degli studi teorici ed applicativi in economia
